Biography

2023: Appeared in three games during the 2023 season... Made four total tackles (2 solo, 2 assists)... Posted season-high three tackles in the season-opener against Northern Arizona (9/2)... Recorded two tackles for a loss of five yards.

Before Arizona: Played in 24 career games... Made 13 total tackles (10 solo, 3 assists) with three tackles for loss, two sacks, one pass deflection, and one forced fumble over four seasons with the California Golden Bears… As a Sophomore (2021), played off the bench in 10 games including each of the last eight and recorded three tackles including a seven-yard sack against Colorado that was the first sack and tackle for loss of his career… As a Freshman (2020), played in each of the first three contests of a season shortened to four games by COVID-19 including his first career start in the second game of the campaign at Oregon State… Contributed a pair of tackles with one each in the first two games of the campaign at UCLA and Oregon State… Also played against Stanford but did not record any stats other than participation… As a Freshman (2019), played in three games vs. Oregon State and Washington State, as well as at Stanford… Had his first career tackle at Washington State but did not record any other statistics other than participation… Redshirted… Recorded one tackle and 0.5 tackles for loss (-1 yard) in the spring game… One of seven scholarship players who were mid-year enrollees in January and participated with the team during its spring practices along with fellow incoming freshmen Braxten Croteau and Makai Polk, as well as transfers DeShawn Collins, Kuony Deng, Isaiah Humphries and Devon Modster

High School: Prepped at Rainier Beach HS (Class Of 2019)/Sheldon HS (2015-17)… Earned All-State and All-Metro League recognition on defense as well as Metro League Defensive Line MVP honors as a 2018 senior and was invited to the Polynesian Bowl, Blue-Grey All-American Bowl, Professional Football Hall of Fame World Bowl and Hawaii Tiki Bowl… Played on both sides of the ball as a 2018 senior at Rainier Beach High School, seeing action at defensive end and outside linebacker on defense and tight end and wide receiver on offense for a team that reached the quarterfinals of the 3A State Football Championships… Spent his 2016 and 2017 sophomore and junior seasons at Sheldon High School in Eugene, Oregon, where he combined during those two campaigns for 60 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks (-32 yards), 16 quarterback hurries, two interceptions that he returned for 100 yards and one touchdown, and one pass deflection… Had 48 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks (-21 yards) and 11 quarterbacks hurries, as well as all his interception and passes deflected numbers as a junior for a team that finished 10-2 overall and reached the second round of the 6A Oregon state football playoffs… Contributed 12 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks (-11 yards) and five quarterbacks hurries as a sophomore for a squad that also finished 10-2 overall and got to the quarterfinals of the 6A Oregon state football playoffs… Played basketball as a 2017-18 junior at Rainier Beach High School after playing three games at Sheldon High School before transferring… President of his school’s Pacific Islander Club at both schools.
