2014-15: Had the third fastest time on the team in the 200 IM (1:46.72) and 400 IM (3:48.01)…Held the fourth fastest in the 200 back (1:47.53) and fifth fastest in the 200 fly (1:47.35)…At Pac-12 Championships, he took sixth in the B final of the 400 IM with 3:52.60, first in the C final of the 200 IM with his season-best time and first in the C final of the 200 fly with 1:47.39…At the Texas Invitational, he finished fourth in B final of the 200 IM, first in the B final of the 400 IM with a season-best, seventh in the B final of the 200 fly and sixth in the C final of the 200 back…Took fourth in 100 back against ASU and eighth in the 200 IM against Texas/SMU.

High School: A two-year letterwinner at Langham Creek High School in the 100 back, 100 fly, 200 IM and 500 free…MVP freshman and sophomore year…Made the All-Conference team, All-City team, All-District team for Cypress Fairbank Independent School District, All-Region team and All-State team for 5A Texas both freshman and sophomore year…Placed fourth in junior nationals in the 400 IM and sixth in the 200 IM in the summer of 2014 with times of 4:20.9 and 2:03.8 respectively…Rated as the fifth best swimmer in the state of Texas and the 71st best recruit in the nation by collegeswimming.com.

Personal: Born Austin Nicolaas Van Overdam in November of 1995 in Houston, Texas to Carl and Kim Van Overdam…Has one younger sister, Hailey…Planned major is engineering…Likes to play videogames in his free time…Chose Arizona over NC State and Ohio State because of, “the team’s atmosphere and I want to win.”
