LAS VEGAS— Junior Trevor James and freshman Romain Boudaroua paced the Wildcats on Saturday, as the tandem recorded a dominating 8-0 victory over Northern Arizona's Felix Schumann and Kester Grant to reach the doubles semifinals on day two of the Larry Easley Memorial Classic.
James and Boudaroua strung together two consecutive doubles wins over the past two days to reach the semis, but their main draw run came to an end later in the day, dropping a tough decision to UNLV's duo of Ace Matias and Denys Pume.
Juniors Matt Dunn and Trevor James also competed in singles semifinal action on Saturday, but both saw their runs come to an end, as Dunn dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 6-3 contest to Boise State's Abe Hewko.
James also was defeated in semifinal play, falling to NAU's Adi Ziberstein 6-2, 7-5.
Arizona will conclude tournament action tomorrow. Play begins at 10 a.m. MST.
