ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.--- The Wildcats saw success on day two of the Balloon Fiesta Invitational, as Matt Dunn advanced to the White Draw Final and the tandem of Trevor James and Will Adkisson punched their ticket to the Gold Draw Doubles Final after two consecutive wins on Saturday out at the University of New Mexico.
The James/Adkisson combination looked unstoppable, as the duo grinded out an 8-6 victory over New Mexico State's pair of Goncalves and Benitez to reach the semis. As the day went longer, the tandem got stronger, as they easily defeated host New Mexico's tandem of Tran and Baklini 8-3 to claim their spot in the flight final tomorrow morning.
James and Adkisson will take on New Mexico's duo of Ge and Jauregui in the final.
Dunn took down NAU's Jackson Lee in a tightly contested three-set affair 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 to stay a perfect 2-0 on the weekend while advancing to the flight final. He will clash with New Mexico State's Mauricio Benitez with the White Draw Championship on the line.
Arizona is in position to take home two titles heading into the final day of the tournament on Sunday.
