LAS VEGAS- The Wildcats wrapped up their final day at the Larry Easley Memorial Classic in Las Vegas, Nev. on Sunday, as both Trevor James and Will Adkisson collected wins to give Arizona an overall record of 8-5 for the tournament.
“All in all, it was a productive tournament for us,” said head coach Tad Berkowitz. “We picked up some solid wins but also have a great understanding of the things we need to work on heading into the spring.”
Will Adkisson kept up his positive momentum up from yesterday, defeating Boise State's Tillman Haynes, 7-6 (4), 7-5, in flight two action running his record to 3-1 for the tournament and 7-3 overall mark this fall.
Trevor James played took on fellow Wildcat teammate Shoki Kasahara in the flight one back draw final. James defeated Kasahara in a tightly contested three-set affair, 6-4, 4-6, (10-7).
The Wildcats will now look ahead to the Dicky V Clay Court Classic in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. and the Jack Kramer Club Invitational in Los Angeles, Calif. Both will span from Nov. 13-15th.
