Match 1: Pacific 4, Arizona, 3
The Wildcats fought hard on day two, but came up short to Pacific as they went 3-4 on the match in Lubbock, Texas.
“I give Pacific all the credit in the world. They played a complete match,” said head coach Tad Berkowitz. We had our chances at the end but they stepped up when needed.”
Naoki Takeda and Trent Botha started doubles play off against Pacific's Sem Verbeek and Jose Chamba, the Cat's double tandem could not keep up, as the fell, 6-3 on court one. Jason Jaruvang and Shoki Kasahara were defeated by Daniel Alameh and Alex Giannini, 6-2.
The Cats gave Pacific a good run during singles play, as they went 3-3. Will Kneale defeated Alex Giannini on court five, 6-3, 6-2, while Shoki Kasahara defeated Bernardo Oliveira, 6-4, 6-4 on court six.
Harry Busby was defeated by Daniel Alameh, 7-5, 6-2 on court two. Jason Jaruvang pushed Jose Chamba to three sets and came out with a win on court four, 4-6, 6-3, 5-3. Trent Botha pushed Miguel Diaz to three sets but then fell short, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 on court three. No. 52 Naoki Takeda pushed Sem Verbeek to three matches but fell short on court one, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.

The Cats went into their second match of the day with more momentum, as they defeated UNM in singles play on day two in Lubbock, Texas, where they ended the match with a 4-2 win.
“I am so proud of the guys to get this win and rebound after a very emotional loss earlier in the day,” said head coach Tad Berkowitz. “ We had a little over an hour to regroup and refocus for New Mexico. They did just that which showed me a lot about their character as a team.”
No. 52 Naoki Takeda set the tone for singles play as he took on UNM's Bart Van Leijsen and defeated him on court one, 6-3, 6-1. Harry Busby fought hard on court two but fell to Hayden Sabatka, 6-3, 7-5. Shoki Kasahara defeated Michael Tran, 6-3, 6-3.
Trent Botha was defeated on court three by Jorge Escuita7-6(4) 6-4, tying up the match, 2-2. Will Kneale defeated Rodolfo Jauregui, 7-6 (5), 6-3, on court five.
Jason Jaruvang clenched the match on court four, as he forced Augustus Ge to fight to the and then picked up the win, 6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-0
