TUCSON, Ariz. – After starting off the year with two wins last week, Arizona (2-0) will take on a fellow unbeaten team in Tulane (6-0) this Thursday, Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. MST in Tucson, Ariz. The Wildcats will attempt to defend their home court at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

"Tulane is coming to Arizona with a lot of momentum," said head coach Vicky Maes. "They are already 6-0 on the season and I know they will be ready to go. We know it is going to be a battle but our team is excited for this matchup."

Last week, Arizona defeated both NAU and GCU by a score of 4-0, thanks in large part to the dominance from No. 18 Lauren Marker and strong showings from the doubles tandems. Marker and No. 89 Samantha Czarniak will look to continue to excel from the No. 1 doubles position. Freshman Paris Corley started off her dual match career on a hot note as each of her wins clinched the fourth and final point in last week's matches.
 
The Opposition
Tulane, coached by Terri Sisk, is coming off a strong week in which they defeated Northwestern State and Southern, each by a score of 4-0. Their 6-0 start is one win shy of their longest win streak to start a season under Sisk. They are led by junior Naz Karagoz, who is a perfect 6-0 from the No. 1 position.
 
Admission to the match is free of charge. LaNelle Robson Tennis Center is located just east of Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium on 2nd street and Campbell Ave.
