"After logging hundreds of miles in travel the last 3 weeks and crossing two time zones,I know the team is very excited and energized to compete this upcoming weekend at Bear Down Beach", said head coach
Steve Walker. "Truthfully the goal, which should always be the case this time of the year, is to play with the kind of sense of urgency that a team with high, championship aspirations should play with. I know we will play with great confidence and look to compete extremely hard against all of these terrific programs that are coming to town this weekend."
UA takes on the New Mexico Lobos at 3 p.m. MST on Friday. This will be the second time this season that the Cats and the Lobos meet since the defeat over New Mexico earlier this season. To close out the day of play the Wildcats will compete against Santa Clara at 6 p.m. MST.
To open up morning play, Arizona will hit the sand against Bakersfield at 11 a.m. MST. The Cats will then go on to close out the two-day tournament with a match against GCU at 1 p.m. MST.
