TUCSON, Ariz. – After competing against the rivals to the north at home this past weekend, the No. 8 Arizona Beach Volleyball team takes its talents to Tempe as they take on the Sun Devils on Saturday, March 11.
Arizona holds a (1-2) record to begin the season. UA earned its first victory of the season against Jacksonville in the Arizona Invitational, where the program hosted, Jacksonville, Hawaii, and Arizona State.
This will be the first away match for the Beach Cats, as they will also compete against Texas A&M Kingsville and New Mexico in the two-day Arizona State hosted tournament.
The Wildcats will begin the tournament hitting the sand against ASU for its only contest of the day at 7 p.m. MST.
On Sunday, UA will then go on to start morning play against Texas A&M Kingsville at 9 a.m MST. To conclude the two-day tournament, Arizona will take on New Mexico at 2 p.m. MST.
This will be the first time Texas A&M Kingsville and Arizona meet in the history of the program.
In the 2015-16 season match up, the Cats swept New Mexico, (5-0) at home.
The match will be held at PERA Club on 1 E Continental Dr., Tempe, AZ 85281.
