TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 9 seed Arizona (11-12, 2-8 Pac-12) will take on No. 8 seed Utah (9-10, 3-7 Pac-12) this Wednesday, Apr. 26 at 11 a.m. MST in the first round of the Pac-12 Women's Tennis Championship in Ojai, Calif. The winner will face No. 1 seed Stanford on Thursday.

"We are excited to compete in the first Pac-12 Team Championships," said head coach
Vicky Maes. "We will get another shot at Utah, a match that promises to be very close. We have been playing hurt this season, but we will give this our best effort, as we know we can win this match."

The Cats dropped their final match of the regular season last week to No. 26 Arizona State by a score of 4-0. The lone bright spot for Arizona was a win by the No. 57 doubles combo in the country in
Paris Corley and
Lauren Marker. In singles, No. 35 Marker will try to expand upon her impressive regular season in which she went 18-3 in dual match action.

The Opposition
Utah is coming off of a 4-1 win over rival Colorado. They do not feature any ranked players or doubles pairings. The two teams met in Tucson during the opening week of Pac-12 action, with the Utes claiming a 4-3 victory.
