Arizona Heads to Washington to Continue Conference Play

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona (10-8, 1-4 Pac-12) will travel up to the Pacific Northwest this weekend to take on No. 31 Washington (14-5, 3-2 Pac-12) on Friday, Apr. 6 at 1:30 p.m. MST, and Washington State (9-10, 0-5 Pac-12) on Sunday, Apr. 9 at 11 a.m. MST.

"Going up north is always tough, especially with the chance of having to play indoors, which is something we haven't had to do this year," said head coach Vicky Maes. "But, our team has shown a lot of resiliency this year and I trust we will battle once again. It is conference play, so wins never come easy. It's why we love the Pac-12."

Previously
Arizona played two ranked opponents at home last week, falling 5-2 to Denver and 4-3 to Oregon. No. 27 Lauren Marker picked up two more wins, moving to an astounding 16-1 on the dual match season. No. 113 Paris Corley climbed up the rankings, as she also won two matches, and now sits at 14-4 on the year. The pair also picked up a win in doubles, moving them to a team-best 5-2. Camila Wesbrooks and Sophia Thomas also won in their first match as a doubles tandem this year.

The Opposition
Washington hosted the LA schools last weekend, falling to UCLA 4-1, and defeating USC 4-3. Meanwhile, Washington State hosted the same two schools, losing to USC 4-1, and dropping a 6-1 match to UCLA.
