Megan Dulaney is heading into her junior year as an Arizona Wildcat. She is from Hercules, California and is currently an undecided major. As a shot-putter on the Track and Field team, Megan came to Arizona with an impressive high school record. She was a four-year letterwinner at Rodrigues High School in Track and Field, was selected at All-City four time, selected at All-State two times, and was team captain for three of her four years. This past season Megan placed 2nd in shotput at the Duel in the Desert meet on April 28th with a mark of 49-9. Her academic counselor,
LeAnne Shoemaker said that Megan "Has been one of the most improved student-athletes on the track team in the last year. She has worked her absolute hardest, spending countless hours in C.A.T.S. to improve her GPA and herself as a student overall. We are very proud of her!"

Malia Martinez is from Poway, California and is entering her sophomore year at Arizona. She attended Poway High School where she was a four-year letterwinner and was named the 2016 Palomar League Player of the Year. Malia also received the Jud Buechler (former Wildcat) Female Athlete of the Year for 2015-2016 and won the 2016 national title at USA Elite Select with Club team OC Batbusters. As a freshman, Malia appeared in 17 games, including two starts. She hit .263 in 19 at-bats and two of her five hits of the season were doubles. Her academic advisor,
Sarah Howard, said "Malia had a very academically strong freshman year and was able to continue that success into the summer. She took one of her more difficult classes and worked hard to earn the grade she wanted. I have no doubt that Malia will continue to work hard and stay focused on her academics."

Josh McCauley is entering his sophomore year as a Wildcat. Josh is from Mesa, Arizona and attended Red Mountain High School. While at Red Mountain, Josh was a letterwinner in three sports, football, basketball, and track and field. For football he was captain of the team, voted MVP his senior year, and finished First-team All-State, Division I. His assistant academic counselor, Ed Lowery, said "Josh is everything you can ask for in a student-athlete. He is able to handle that balance of football and academics with no problem. When he comes in for his appointments, he makes them count by asking the right questions and takes advantage of this time set aside for him. No doubt that Josh will keep raising the bar for himself and others around him."
Â
Dylan Smith is a junior at Arizona after redshirting his sophomore year due to NCAA transfer rules. Dylan is from Mobile, Alaska, and attended UNC Asheville during his freshman year. While there, Dylan led the team in scoring with 13.5 points per game, playing in all 30 games of the season. He shot 82.6 percent from the free throw line, which was sixth in the Big South Conference and he finished the year with 81 of 232 (.349) from beyond the arc. Dylan's learning specialist,
Aaron Davis, said that "Dylan started the summer term really strong academically. He really invested in his coursework and showed some big-time brainpower."
