March Student-Athletes of the Month Announced

TUCSON, Ariz.- Arizona's student-athletes for the month of March have been announced by C.A.T.S. Academics. The month's honorees are Noah Fifita (Football), Emma Strom (Gymnastics), Brenna Grinder (Volleyball), Oskar Jansson (Men's Tennis).

Athlete: Noah Fifita
Year: Senior
Sport: Football
Hometown: Huntington Beach, CA

"Noah is a Senior on the Football team and is an outstanding student who graduated early with a degree in Psychology and is currently completing a certificate in Sport and Recreation Management. He is a conscientious student with strong ties to the university and Tucson community.  Noah has a strong work ethic both on and off the field and is a great ambassador for our institution and athletic department."

Sport: Gymnastics
Hometown: Omaha, Nebraska

"Emma Strom, a senior, has been selected as Student-Athlete of the Month for her outstanding dedication both in the classroom and in competition. Emma consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, pushing herself to improve every day while maintaining a positive attitude. As a teammate, she is supportive, dependable, and leads by example, always putting the team first. Her commitment, character, and perseverance make her a great representation of what it truly means to be a student-athlete."

Year: Sophomore
Sport: Volleyball
Hometown: Fort Wayne, Indiana

"Brenna, a sophomore from Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a Nutritional Science major with the goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian. She exemplifies the balance, discipline, and commitment required of a successful student-athlete, consistently striving for excellence both in the classroom and in competition.On the court, Brenna is a key contributor to her team as a libero, demonstrating grit, focus, and a strong work ethic in every practice and match. Off the court, she is equally dedicated to her academics, managing the demands of a rigorous and challenging major with organization and determination. She is known for her kindness, positivity, and ability to uplift those around her—truly a bright spot in anyone's day."

"Oskar, an Economics major in the Eller College of Management, exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated and well-rounded student-athlete. He is an exceptionally hard worker who approaches both his academic and athletic commitments with focus, discipline, and determination. Oskar consistently demonstrates a high level of independence, taking full ownership of his responsibilities while maintaining an impressive GPA in a rigorous academic program.His commitment to excellence has been recognized through his selection as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for Academic Achievement, a testament to his ability to balance the demands of collegiate athletics with outstanding academic performance."
