TUCSON, Ariz. – Today, the Pac-12 Conference announced today the 22 outstanding Pac-12 student-athletes who have been named recipients of Pac-12 Postgraduate Scholarships for the 2016-17 academic year. Arizona's recipient of the Pac-12 Postgraduate Scholarship is soccer's Sheaffer Skadsen.
 
The scholarships, worth $9,000 each, are awarded to up to two student-athletes from each Pac-12 school annually. These worthy student-athletes maintained a minimum 3.0 grade point average and demonstrated a commitment to education, campus and community involvement, and leadership.
 
During her time at Arizona, Skadsen was named the 2015 Pac-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year, was a CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2015, was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team selection in 2014 and 2015 and was a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic First Team selection from 2013 to 2015. On the pitch, Skadsen was named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention after anchoring the defense that led the Wildcats to the round of 16 in 2015.
 
Skadsen is currently studying Dentistry at the University of Colorado at Denver. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona in Public Health.
