TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona (5-0) remains undefeated after a 4-3 win over San Diego (1-3) and 4-0 win over Grand Canyon University (4-4). San Diego clinched the doubles point, but the Wildcats came back during singles to win 4-3. Arizona secured the doubles point against GCU and won three singles matches to win 4-0.

"I'm very pleased with how we played today," said head coach Vicky Maes. "I think we got ourselves into a bit of trouble in the GCU match, but coming from a very tough, emotional, and feisty match against USD, it's hard to maintain momentum into the next match. I'm glad we won the doubles point against GCU but again, we have to work that against USD. We did better today and I'm super happy with the way we battle. We may not be playing great sometimes, but the girls are always fighting and are in the game. They're very excited to be 5-0 at this stage, it feels good and we just have to keep rolling."

Arizona's wins against San Diego and GCU puts them at 5-0 in the season. The Wildcats will play University of Nevada, Reno Feb. 9 at 12 p.m. and University of Houston Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. MST.
