LOS ANGELES – Arizona (9-13, 0-8 in Pac-12) lost 4-0 to No. 41 USC's women's tennis team (12-7, 5-3 in Pac-12) on Friday afternoon at Marks Stadium in Los Angeles.

To start the match, Madison Westby/Constance Branstine won 6-0 over Paris Corley/Sophia Thomas on court three. On court one, USC won the doubles point when No. 46 Angela Kulikov/Rianna Valdes beat Mary Lewis/Marie Van Aelst 6-3, leaving the third match unfinished. 
 
The Trojans continued their success into singles when Madison Westby defeated Camila Wesbrooks 6-4, 6-1 on court four, giving USC a two-point advantage. On court five, Marie Van Aelst fell to Constance Branstine 6-2, 6-3. No. 48 Gabby Smith clinched the match for USC when she beat Devin Chypyha 6-3, 6-1 on court one. 

"The girls put up a fight, but I definitely think we let a ton of opportunities go by us," said head coach Vicky Maes. "We were cruising in doubles at courts one and two and then that got away from us. We started well in singles but couldn't win the key points. Truth is that we won't win any matches like that. We just have to do better. It starts with the belief we can and then the desire to do so."

The Cats will play No. 15 UCLA on Saturday, Apr. 14 at noon MST in Los Angeles.
