Gabby Andrews continued the Bruins' success into singles when defeated
Talya Zandberg 6-0, 6-1 on court six.
Devin Chypyha lost to No. 16 Ena Shibahara on court one, 6-2, 6-1, which put UCLA up 3-0. No. 37 Jada Hart clinched the final point of the match when she beat
Mary Lewis 6-3, 6-3 on court two.
"Doubles didn't go well for us today, but we battled great in singles," said head coach
Vicky Maes. "At courts three, four, and five, we were totally in it and scoring. Unfortunately, with the clinches, we do not have enough time to close out those matches. It's been going like that for us in conference which is frustrating. At the same time, we are still competing hard and making improvements."
The Wildcats head back to Tucson to host No. 33 Arizona State next Saturday, Apr. 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
