Tucson, Ariz. – The Cats wrapped up day two of the Texas Tech and UW Invitationals on Saturday. Sophomore
Jordan Geist highlighted the events in Lubbock by setting a season-best mark in the shot put.
Carlos Villarreal took fourth in his first collegiate indoor 3K in Seattle.

Putting the Shot
Geist tossed a season-best mark of 20.78m (68-2.25) to take first in the event. His throw improves his No. 2 NCAA mark set at the NAU Friday Night Duals and is the No. 3 toss on the IAAF World List.
Megan Dulaney took third on the ladies' side with a toss of 15.15m (49-8.5).

Settling Things In Seattle
In the University of Washington Invitational Villarreal ran a time of 7:58.576 in the 3K. He finished fourth overall in the event.
Bailey Roth registered a mark of 8:23.712 in the 3K.
Collin Dylla clocked a time of 1:54.046 to win his 800-meter run heat.

Freshman
Neysia Howard set a PR in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.34. She finished second in her heat. For the second week in a row, sophomore
Kayla Young set a PR in the 3K, she logged a time of 9:55.712.

200-Meters Deep
The Cats won a pair of 200-meter dash heats and finished second on four occasions in Lubbock.
Na'Asha Robinson took the top spot in her 200-meter dash heat with a time of 23.90.
Diana Gajda took second in her heat with a mark of 24.23.
Tatum Waggoner completed the 200-meter dash in 24.24. On the men's side,
Zakee Washington clocked a time of 21.80.
David Egbo took first in his 200-meter dash heat in 21.82.
