TUCSON, Ariz.- The 38
th annual Arizona Intercollegiate and Arizona Medalist tournament is set to begin Monday, January 28
th, marking the first tournament of the spring semester for the Cats. The tournament will be held at Sewailo Golf Course, home course of both men's and women's golf programs. The course measures 7,283 yards and is held at 71 par. Competition will being with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, with the first two rounds played on Monday, and the final round and medal ceremony on Tuesday.
"The Arizona Intercollegiate is our favorite event every year," commented head coach
Jim Anderson. "Besides being at home and having the familiarities of Sewailo, we feel terrific support from the staff, community, families and Wildcat fans. The energy is terrific competing at home. Also, our event marks the beginning of the college golf season so getting to start here with great momentum is a big advantage."
The field consists of 17 programs, including top ranked programs such as BYU (9), Arizona State (11), and Texas A&M (18). Other programs include Denver, Iowa State, LMU, Long Beach State, New Mexico, New Mexico State, St. Mary's, UALR, UCLA, UTEP, UTSA, and Washington.

Brad Reeves, senior
Ethan Marcus, and junior
Briggs Duce.
Laskin, Werbylo, and Reeves will be returning to Intercollegiate as the returners from last year's home tournament title win. Laskin finished tied in 11
th place, with a then-career low single round of 65. Reeves placed 25
th and Werbylo finished in 45
th
The Arizona Intercollegiate is open to the public and is free admission. Carts will be available for spectator use at a first come first serve those with special needs and the appropriate documentation, with a $25 cart fee.
