Arizona is back in action on Friday in Tucson for the 2018-19 home opener. After fall renovations, the women will break in the new pool against Washington State to begin the new year.
 
Fall 2018 Recap
The women went 2-2 in the first half of the season, beating Grand Canyon and Oregon State but falling to UCLA and USC. Sophomore Delaney Schnell won all three events and set the school record in the Platform at the Lumberjack Diving Invitational. The Cats also performed well at the annual Texas Invitational, moving up to #21 in the nation in the latest CSCAA rankings.
 
Eyeing the Competition
The Cougars are 3-4 this season. To begin the season, Washington State narrowly beat San Diego but lost to Stanford. California and Wyoming defeated the Cougars to close out dual competition in the fall.
 
History versus Washington State
Arizona has faced Washington State three times in the past ten seasons, beating the Cougars in all meetings. Last season, the Wildcats won 161-101 in Pullman, in 2014 Arizona won 172-89, and in 2012 the Cats defeated WSU 119-75.
