ATLANTA, Georgia – Arizona Swim and Dive had a strong second day at the Women's NCAA Championships. The Cats earned an individual Second Team All-American honor and a top-ten relay finish.
Eleni Gewalt earned a 12th-place finish in the 100 breast, touching the wall at 58.53. Gewalt earned a Second Team All-American honor for her performance in Atlanta.
The 200 free relay squad earned a 10th-place finish to wrap up the night.
Riley Botton led off the relay in 22.23, followed by
Patricija Kondraskaite's 21.66 split.
Maryam Sheikhalizadehkhanghah posted a 22.02 third-leg, before
Julia Wozniak anchored the relay in 21.42 to secure the top-ten finish.
The Cats are back competing tomorrow, with several individual events taking place.
Eleni Gewalt will compete in her second individual event, the 200 breast, tomorrow morning.
Riley Botton will compete in the 50 free, her first individual event at NCAAs.
Zara Ayazi will be back on the boards to compete on the 3-meter. The 400 medley relay will also take place on Friday.
