Â

Setting Up the Weekend
The Cats will kick off the weekend against USC this Saturday. The last time the two teams met in 2018, the Cats fell to the Trojans 1-4 in the Pac-12 South Invitational, with the pair of Baham and Burling to earn the lone victory. Their second match of the tournament will be up against the Ducks, who conceded to Arizona by a score of 5-0 the last time the two schools met in 2015.
Â
Arizona will close out the tournament on Sunday against Stanford. The last time the two programs met was in 2018, when the Cats lost 1-4 at the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship in Palo Alto, Calif.
"I think every coach is preaching the same things at this point in the season; that we simply concern ourselves with our own side of the net and worry less about who we are playing." Walker adds. "We are no different. We need to continue to sure up the things we are deficient in and simply play to our strengths, while embracing the competition on this weekend and every weekend ahead."
