TUCSON, Ariz. -- The Arizona Beach Volleyball team will enter week three of the 2019 season with an overall record of 6-2. The Cats competed in the IVC Tri-Match, sweeping both Irvine Valley College and Vanguard. 

UA opened up the day's play with a 5-0 defeat over the Lasers (4-2). Arizona's No. 1, 3, 4, and 5 pair defeated their opponents in straight sets. The No. 2 pair of Jonny Baham and Brooke Burling battled to a third set, claiming victory in the last, 15-7. 

In their second match of the day, the Wildcats kept up their energy to claim their second victory of the tournament. Arizona defeated the Vanguard Lions 5-0. 

The Cats will hit the sand next week and host the Arizona Invitational March 15-16.
