Baseball Faces Sunday Rubber Match at Stanford

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- The Arizona Wildcats (19-21, 7-13) face a rubber match against the No. 3 ranked Stanford Cardinal (30-7, 14-3) this Sunday afternoon at Sunken Diamond.

The Wildcats won the series opener, 6-3, on Friday night after getting stellar pitching from Randy Labaut and a trio of bullpen arms. Nick Quintana blasted his 30th career home run, while Matthew Dyer extended his hit streak to 16 games.

Stanford took the second game of the series on Saturday night on a 13-3 final tally. Dyer quickly extended his hit streak again with a double in the top of the first inning.

Arizona will go for the series win in game three on Sunday afternoon - first pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. MST.
