Summer 2016
Arizona Baseball’s Summer Player of the Year…Batted .357 in 31 total games for the Falmouth Commodores in the prestigious Cape Cod Summer League…Had 11 doubles, five home runs, 25 RBI, 19 runs scored and 15 walks…Had at least one hit in 25 of his 31 games…Homered in his first game of the summer versus Cotuit (7/4), just four days after playing in the College World Series Finals.

Arizona 2016
Appeared in 71 games, drawing 68 starting assignments at first base, second base and designated hitter...A power bat normally reserved for the middle of the lineup, Matijevic was third on the team with 17 doubles and four home runs...Also posted 43 runs scored, 37 RBI and a .411 slugging percentage to go with a .287 batting average...Posted two 4-hit games...The first came on 3/12 versus Sacramento State, going 4-6 with 3 doubles, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored...The other came in the series-opener at USC on 4/30 when he went 4-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored...Hit his first home run of the season on 3/5 versus Cal State Bakersfield...Posted back-to-back 3-hit games, going 3-4 with an RBI on 4/16 versus Stanford, and then going 3-5 with one double, a home run and two RBI versus New Mexico State on 4/20...Finished the regular season strong, posting a season-best three straight multi-hit games...The streak began on 5/24 versus Abilene Christian, going 3-5 with a triple...He then had a two-hit game against Abilene Christian on 5/25, before opening the Hawaii series, going 2 for 5 with a home run and four runs scored...Belted a solo home run in Arizona's first postseason game against Sam Houston State...Had at least one hit in 11 of 15 postseason games...Produced a 3-hit game against Oklahoma State in the College World Series, going 3-5 with an RBI and a double...Drove in the lone run in a 1-0 Super Regional win over Mississippi State with an RBI double...Had five extra-base hits in the postseason.

Arizona 2015
Matijevic played in 49 games for Arizona while starting in 47 of them at first base … He batted .238 overall and had 26 RBI, 13 doubles one triple and three home runs … Had a breakout game on Feb. 24 against Oakland when he went 3-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and a double … Hit his first home run of his career against Utah on Mar. 13 … Struggled to find a groove during the middle of the season, but got things going against Arizona State on Apr. 28 when he went 3-4 with seven RBI and a first-inning grand slam … From that moment on, Matijevic was on a tear as he improved his batting average 32 points in a matter of 13 games … In the next game, Matijevic collected a pair of hits against Washington State with three more RBI and another home run … In the month of May, Matijevic batted .261 after batting .206 through the first three months of the season.
