TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track and Field will travel to Iowa City, Iowa to compete in the Larry Wieczorek Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The invitational is a two day meet in which competition will begin on Friday with field events starting at 9:00 a.m. MST followed by running events at 4:15 p.m. MST. Saturday's field events will begin at 11:00 a.m. MST followed by running events at 12:30 p.m. MST.
"I was really pleased with how the team performed in Flagstaff," said head Track and Field coach Fred Harvey. "The level of competition this weekend is going to be tremendously higher with, including ourselves, nine really good schools from the SEC, Big 12, Big 10 and Pac-12. We are going to have the opportunity to have our top distance runners on the trip so we are going to get a better feel of overall what we are as a team and I'm pretty optimistic as to what we are going to see."
The Wildcats last competed on January 10 at the 2020 indoor season opener, NAU Friday Night Duels, where five athletes set new PRs.
A complete recap of the meet will be posted to ArizonaWildcats.com. You can also follow @ArizonaTrack on twitter throughout the day for live updates.
