TUCSON, Ariz. – Sophomore
Cate Reese has been named one of the 10 finalists for the Katrina McClain Award, which recognizes the top power forward in the country.
On the season, Reese averages 14.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game on 50% shooting and is also shooting 40% from three and 80.5% from the free throw line. She is third in the Pac-12 in free throw percentage, fifth in rebounds per game, sixth in field goal percentage and her seven double-doubles is the sixth-most in the Pac-12.
The Cypress, Texas native was named Pac-12 Player of the Week twice in the month of December and has scored in double figures in 11 of Arizona's first 12 Pac-12 games. She set a new career-high in points back in mid-January when she scored 26 points at Washington in a road win over the Cougars.
