TUCSON, Ariz. - Emily Maxfield only just transfered from USF to the WIldcat Family, but she is making an instant impact for Women's Tennis. Maxfield starts the season ranked No. 90 in the Preseason ITA Singles Rankings to start off her first season at Arizona. 

Maxfield is no stranger to the rankings as she has placed within the Top 125 multiple times in her career at USF before transferring to Arizona. Last year she finished at No. 87 when Covid cut the season short. The new transfer brings Arizona back into the ITA Rankings for the first time since Emma Wilson made the list back in 2018. 

Although a slight drop in rankings for Maxfield since last season, it shows the growth of the program and the trajectory it has taken under Head Coach Ryan Stotland  as the program heads into the new season.
