TUCSON, Ariz. – Aari McDonald was named one of 10 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Semifinalists on Tuesday morning. She is the only player from the Pac-12 on the list.
On the season, McDonald leads the Pac-12 with an average of 2.5 steals per game. She has nine games this season with at least three steals and has stolen the ball six times on three occasions.
The reigning Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year spearheads the stifling Arizona defense and pressure's the opposing team's point guard for the majority of the game.
