TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona Swimming and Diving wrapped up Day 2 of the 2021 Pac-12 Championships Thursday evening.
Diving Championships
Sophomore
Bjorn Markentin placed 3rd in the 1 meter dive, scoring 342.80 total points. This was Arizona's second podium finish in as many days as fellow teammate
Delaney Schnell was crowned the 1 meter Pac-12 champion Wednesday afternoon.
Swimming Championships
On the night there were four different Wildcat swimmers to earn NCAA B cut honors in their respective events.
Kayla Filipek (22.73) in the 50 free,
Hannah Farrow (1:59.04) in the 200 IM,
Molly Batchelor (4:44.03) and
Amalie Mortensen (4:45.03) in the 500 free. The Cats also placed 4th in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:29.83.
Fantastic Freshmen
Arizona captured the top three spots of the 500 free B final with the freshmen trio of
Molly Batchelor,
Amalie Mortensen, and
Tia Lindsay.
