Schnell Goes for Platform Title at NCAA's

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Redshirt Junior Delaney Schnell will compete in the platform event tomorrow evening, at the Women's NCAA Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. 

Schnell is seeking to capture the the NCAA title in the platform dive for the Wildcats. She was crowned Pac-12 Champion in both the 1 meter and platform dive at the Pac-12 Championships at the end of last month.
 

She set a conference and school record for the platform prelims with a score of 383.85 and would go on to win the event with a score of 364.50. The previous record was held by Eline Eggers from Arizona State University with a score of 345.60 in the 2011 Pac-12 Championships. 

Delaney earned All-American Honors in the 1 meter event yesterday evening, placing fourth with a score of 334.45. 

Schnell will compete in the prelims tomorrow at 7 a.m. MST followed up by the finals at 3 p.m. MST.
