Geist, Noennig and Summerset Win Pac-12 Conference Titles

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track and Field competed in day two of the Pac-12 Championships on Saturday with Jordan Geist, Samantha Noennig and Justice Summerset winning the shot put and high jump titles.

Field Highlights
After finishing runner-up in the hammer throw on Friday, Jordan Geist won the shot put conference title with a mark of 20.35m (66-9.25), making him a three-time Pac-12 shot put champion. He threw 21.08m (69-2) in 2019 and 20.06m (65-9.75) in 2018 to win his first two titles. 

The Wildcats swept the shot put event with Samantha Noennig taking the women's title. She threw for 17.32m (56-10) to become the conference champion. Noennig was also the 2019 shot put champion at Arizona State.

Justice Summerset also topped the conference in the men's high jump, clearing 2.20m (7-2.5). The senior is a four-time All-American and prior to this season, his highest finish at the Pac-12 Championships was third place in 2018.

Katie Daily cleared a PR of 4.05m (13-3.5) in the pole vault to take sixth. She maintains her place in fifth on Arizona's all-time list.

Track Highlights
The entire men's 400m crew qualified for the finals with Umajesty Williams leading. Williams clocked a time of 46.05 followed by Johnnie Blockburger in third with 46.56 and Isaac Davis in sixth, running 46.91. The trio will compete again on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. MST.

In the men's 100m dash, Trent Stimac clocked 10.58 followed by Trevor Volpe with a time of 10.69, Keishawn Everly with 10.77 and Tayvian Cunningham running 10.79. On the women's side, Neysia Howard finished with a time of 11.80.


Tanner Hagstrom clocked 1:51.45 and Camron Herron ran 1:51.62 in the men's 800m to finish 11th and 12th. 

Ajaysha Lewis matched her 100m hurdle PR of 14.20 to take 13th.

Multis Highlights
Skylar Sieben posted the fifth-best heptathlon score in school history with a PR of 5,635 to finish fourth in the conference. She picked up individual event PRs in the 800m (2:19.09), 200m (24.63) and 100m hurdles (13.84). She also matched her PR long jump mark of 5.83m (19-1.5).

Dominic Gehr also tallied a PR score in the decathlon with 6,804 points to finish sixth. After putting up a day one score of 3,415, he finished second in the discus throw and third in the javelin on Saturday.
