LIHUE, Hawai'I – Friday's second round of the John Burns Intercollegiate played out like the day before as Arizona was 12-under par heading into the turn with another Wildcat joining the top 10 of the individual leaderboards. The Wildcats would end the day shooting 11-under par to maintain their lead over the field at 24-under par and three strokes ahead of New Mexico.

"We had another very strong start to our round before tailing off a little bit on the final two holes of the course," said head coach Jim Anderson. "Sam's strong round on Friday gave us a third player in the top ten and Johnny just outside in 12^th. If we continue our stellar play from Thursday and Friday, we should be in a great position for more team and individual titles on Saturday."

Sam Sommerhauser carded the second-lowest score of the field in Friday's action with a 66. Graduate senior Christian Banke also broke 70 with a 4-under round of 68. Sommerhauser, Banke and Chase Sienkiewicz enter Saturday's final round in a three-way tie for sixth place at 6-under par for the tournament.

The Wildcats are 6-under on par 4's, which leads the field by nine strokes in par-4 scoring while sitting one stroke behind BYU for the par-3 scoring lead for the event.

Saturday will be the final 18 holes of the 45^th annual John Burns Intercollegiate as Arizona looks to win the tournament for the first time since 2004.
