TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (4-1) got back in the win column with an emphatic 14-3 victory over the Milwaukee Panthers (3-1) on Thursday night at Hi Corbett Field.
Left fielder
Chase Davis wowed on multiple fronts, collecting a career-high four hits at the plate and making a highlight-reel grab down the left field line in the third inning. He picked up his second career home run and scored three times.
Every member of the Arizona starting lineup picked up at least one hit and scored a run including third baseman
Jack Grant, who collected his first collegiate base knock.
Anthony Susac (1-0) earned the start on the mound and turned in an impressive performance to earn his first career win. The right-hander went 5.0 innings and allowed just three runs on six hits while striking out three.
The Wildcats jumped on the Panthers starter early, sending 13 batters to the plate and scoring eight runs.
