TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona men's swimming and diving will send a team of seven swimmers and two divers to Atlanta for the 2022 NCAA Championships set for March 23-26 at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the Georgia Tech campus.
Arizona concluded the 2021 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships with 106 total points, placing 12th overall. In 2019, Arizona placed 16th and moved up four spots this year to mark the program's highest finish at the NCAA Championships since 2014 when the men placed 7th with a total of 198.5 points.
Prelims will begin at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT) with finals starting at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT) each day. Finals sessions will be streamed via
espn.com/watch, while all other sessions will stream through
ramblinwreck.com.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
The Cats complete the 2022 NCAA Men's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with four All-American finishes, including three of them courtesy of Brooks Fail. Fail recorded top-8 finishes in the 500 free, 400 IM, and 1650 free. He placed 5th in the 500 free, 6th in the 400 IM, and 7th in the 1640 free. Brooks set an Arizona school record in the 400 IM with a time of 3:38.55.
Diver Bjorn Markentin earned All-American honors in the 1-meter event, scoring 358.25 and earning a 7th place finish.
Arizona completes the 2021-2022 season and places 17th at NCAA Championships with a total of 79 points.
