TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (16-6, 5-2) dropped their series opener to the UCLA Bruins (14-7, 2-2) by a final score of 10-2 on Friday night.
Starting pitcher
TJ Nichols went 5.1 innings for the Wildcats and did not allow an earned run. The right-hander surrendered five hits and struck out six while being tagged with the loss to move to 3-1 on the year.
Catcher
Daniel Susac narrowly missed Arizona's first five-hit performance since 2018, picking up four at-bats in his first four turns at the plate before lining out to right on hard contact late in the game.
