TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (9-3) dropped their series finale with the Texas State Bobcats (10-2) by a final score of 7-3 on Sunday afternoon.
The Wildcats took an early 3-1 lead in the bottom of the third.
Daniel Susac evened the game with an RBI groundout, outfielder
Tanner O'Tremba followed with one of his own to give Arizona the lead, and designated hitter
Tommy Splaine finished off the rally with an RBI double down the left field line.
Texas State retook the lead with a five-run fifth and added an insurance run in the top of the ninth to create the final margin of 7-3.
Arizona starting pitcher
Dawson Netz worked 4.0 innings on 70 pitches in his third outing of the year. He allowed three run on six hits while striking out four. Netz did not factor into the decision.
