TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona outfielder
Tanner O'Tremba earned a selection to the CoSIDA Academic All-District baseball team on Thursday morning.
O'Tremba was one of five outfielders named to the District 8 First Team and is Arizona's first Academic All-District honoree since pitcher Brad Mills in 2007.
The Academic All-District teams, as selected by CoSIDA membership, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. O'Tremba, along with all other First Team honorees, will automatically advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot.
O'Tremba, who graduated from the University of Arizona this morning with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, proudly sported an incredible 4.0 grade point average and was a member of the 2021 Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll.
Through 50 games this year he leads the Wildcats and ranks third in the conference with a .368 batting average, while his 74 base hits are second on the circuit and top 20 nationally. O'Tremba has swatted 18 doubles, three triples, seven home runs, and driven in 46 RBI for Arizona this season. As the team's everyday starting right fielder he has logged a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage on 89 chances.
O'Tremba and the Wildcats are back in action against No. 2 Oregon State this weekend at Hi Corbett Field. Tickets for all three games are available for purchase now and can be secured by clicking
