EUGENE, Ore. — The Arizona Wildcats (35-20, 16-13) dropped a back-and-forth contest, 4-3, to the Oregon Ducks (34-21, 17-12) on Friday evening at PK Park.
Starting pitcher
Garrett Irvin allowed three runs in the first two innings but quickly settled down and ultimately delivered his fifth consecutive quality start. The southpaw allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits while striking out three. He did not factor into the decision.
Left fielder
Chase Davis got the Wildcats on the board with a solo home run to lead off the fourth inning, cutting the Ducks lead to two.
Arizona followed up with a two-run fifth that tied the game. Catcher
Daniel Susac drove in a run with his 19th double of the year and right fielder
Tanner O'Tremba tied the game with an RBI groundout.
The Ducks plated a run in the bottom of the eighth to create the final margin of 4-3.

- Chase Davis' solo home run in the top of the fourth was his team-best 16th home run of the year and 10th of conference play. His 10 Pac-12 home runs are tied for the program record.
