TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Swimming & Diving senior,
Julia Heimstead, has been named Pac-12 Women's Co-Swimmer of the Month for November alongside Minna Abraham from USC, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
This marks the second career Swimmer of the Month award for Heimstead, and her first of the season.
Heimstead continues to impress with her standout individual performances as well as her pivotal roles in Arizona's relay teams. Her versatility in the freestyle and butterfly events are what make her such a fierce competitor in the water and a driving force for Arizona Swimming.
Last month, Heimstead swept the 100 and 200 Fly events in Arizona's dual meet against USC, clocking 1:55.50 in the 100 and 51.99 in the 200. She also helped lead Arizona's 'A' 200 Free relay to first place with a time of 1:29.79.
The very next day, Heimstead took the top spots in the 100 and 200 Free events against UCLA, putting up 49.19 in the 100 and 1:46.19 in the 200. In addition to her individual races, Julia was a part of the winning 200 Medley Relay (1:38.45) and the 400 Free Relay (3:15.82).
