ALBUQUERQUE, NM – The Wildcats finished up the Don Kirby Invitational on Saturday as
Talie Bonds broke the women's 60m hurdles school record for the third time this season. For the entire weekend, the Wildcats set a total of 21 new personal bests.
"We had another fantastic weekend both in Albuquerque and Seattle," said Head Coach

Jordan Geist,
Talie Bonds,
Trayvion White-Austin,
Alisa Lyesina, and the men's 4x400m relay team. 21 PR's this late in the season is a direct correlation to the work the athletes, coaches, and our support staff are putting into the program."
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
Jordan Geist won the men's shot put for the third time this season with a huge throw of 21.23m (69-8). He has won the event in every meet he has competed in so far this year. Additionally,
Zach Landa placed fourth with a toss of 17.99m (59-0.25), and
Youssef Koudssi finished sixth with a throw of 17.59m (57-8.5).
Mackenna Orie was the top-finisher for the Wildcats in the women's shot put. She made the final and placed ninth overall with a toss of 15.85m (52-0).
Lauryn Love also had a PR throw of 14.30m (46-11).

In the women's pole vault,
Katie Daily ended in sixth place after clearing 4.06m (13-3.75).

Taylen Wise was the Wildcats' top performer in the women's triple jump, with her leap of 12.48m (40-11.5). On the men's side,
Sir Jonathan Sims had a PR jump of 14.42m (47-3.75).
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
For the third time this season,
Talie Bonds broke the Arizona school record in the women's indoor 60m hurdles. She clocked a new personal best of 8.04 during the preliminary round of the event. Later on in the final, Bonds lowered her school record even more, running an 8.01 and placing third overall. Additionally,
Ajaysha Lewis clocked a PR time of 8.71 in the earlier qualifying section of the event.
In the men's 60m prelims,
Trayvion White-Austin ran a 6.74 and qualified for the final. In that final, he matched his personal best time of 6.70 and placed fifth overall. Earlier in the qualifying section,
James Onanubosi finished with a time of 6.83.

Carl Hicks produced a big PR time of 46.98 in the men's 400m, going sub-47 seconds for the first time. Additionally,
Lyricc Lopez ran a 47.38 and
Isaac Davis clocked a 47.47. In the women's 400m,
Xahria Santiago made her season debut and ran a personal best time of 54.88.

Cooper Quigley placed fourth overall in the men's mile after running a 4:11.81. Furthermore,
Cade Russo clocked a personal record in the men's 800m with a time of 1:53.20.

In the men's 60m hurdles,
Zachary Extine ran an 8.23 in what was his first competition of the indoor season.

The Arizona men's 4x400m relay team won the event with a time of 3:06.58, which is just 0.08 seconds off the school record. All four members of the team ran sub-47 second splits:
Carl Hicks,
Isaac Davis,
Logan Hasher, and
Lyricc Lopez. Lopez, who was the team's anchor, had the fastest 400m split with a time of 46.03.

The women's 4x400m relay team also posted their best time so far this season.
Xahria Santiago,
Jenica Bosko,
Neysia Howard, and
Lauryn Ford combined to run a 3:47.56, with Howard having the fastest 400m split time of 54.33.
WASHINGTON HUSKY CLASSIC
Arizona also sent two competitors to Seattle today for the Washington Husky Classic. At the competition,
Alisa Lyesina ran a big PR time of 2:04.86 in the women's 800m. Lyesina won her heat and placed fifth overall with her new lifetime best 800m time. Additionally,
Iker Sanchez Lopez ran a 4:01.23 in the men's mile.
