LIHUE, Hawai'i – No. 19 Arizona Men's Golf will participate in the prestigious John Burns Intercollegiate for a 39^th year on Thursday, Feb. 16 when it tees off from the Ocean Course at Hokuala. The Hawaiian staple of the Arizona Golf schedule is the longest running tournament in program history outside of its home event, the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate. The Wildcats are one of 21 teams in the field in this year's event played on the island of Kauai.

"We have had two great weeks of practice and qualifying in preparation for the John Burns Intercollegiate," said head coach Jim Anderson. "This is a tournament that our program has tremendous history with and recent success at. We know this golf course well and prepared a good game plan for it. I look forward to seeing our team compete on this picturesque course and put up some strong scores."

Arizona finished runner-up in last year's tournament with a final score of 16-under par. The Wildcats last claimed a team title at the John Burns Intercollegiate in 2004 with Manny Zerman being the last Wildcat to win the individual crown in 1992.

The Wildcat lineup features seniors Chaz Aurilia and Chase Sienkiewicz as well as the sophomore tandem of Tiger Christensen and Johnny Walker with freshman Zach Pollo as the fifth member. Aurilia and Walker both finished tied for third at 12-under at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate last month as Arizona finished in second place with a final team score of 33-under.
