Wildcats, Sun Devils Square Off in Midweek Clash

TUCSON, Ariz. — Hi Corbett Field plays host to the latest installment of a rivalry series between the Arizona Wildcats (18-15, 6-12) and Arizona State Sun Devils (25-10, 11-3) this Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. MST.

The game will be available to watch on Pac-12 Insider and broadcast live on Wildcats Radio 1290 AM, both featuring play-by-play from Brian Jeffries.

Arizona fans are encouraged to wear red and RED OUT Hi Corbett Field for Wednesday's game. Full details on a trio of promotional items scheduled for Wednesday's game can be found here.

The Wildcats offense has been red hot in recent action, having logged 10+ hits in each of their last nine contests. The two teams rank first and second in the Pac-12 in batting average and slugging percentage.

  • The Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils continue their in-state rivalry series with a midweek matchup at Hi Corbett Field on Tuesday.
  • Tuesday's matchup will be available to watch on Pac-12 Insider and broadcast live on Wildcats Radio 1290 AM. Play-by-play from Brian Jeffries will be available on both outlets.
  • Arizona and Arizona State have matched up 487 times in program history, with the Wildcats holding an all-time series lead of 259-227-1. Games between the two programs date all the way back to 1907.
  • The Sun Devils swept the Pac-12 Conference series between the two schools last month. The Wildcats won the last midweek matchup hosted in Tucson, 14-2, in 2021.

  • Outfielder Chase Davis hit his 12th home run of the season last Tuesday against New Mexico State, giving him 30 career home runs. He currently sits just one home run shy of breaking into the Wildcats career leaderboard. Todd Trafton and Bill Rhinehart are both currently tied for 9th all-time with 31 career home runs.
