TUCSON, Ariz. – Olivia DiNardo has been named to the Tucci/NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year Top 25 List, announced on Friday by the NFCA.
DiNardo earned Pac-12 Player and Freshman of the Week honors in addition to being named the NFCA Freshman of the Week earlier this season.
The freshman from San Mateo, Calif. is leading the Wildcats with a .408 batting average and 53 hits. She leads all Pac-12 freshmen in batting average, hits, on-base percentage (.480), and walks (17).
The Arizona freshman is one of four Pac-12 players on the list. Stanford's NiJaree Canady and UCLA's Megan Grant and Jordan Woolery are also on the list.
DiNardo and the Wildcats host Oregon State beginning Friday, April 28 at 6 p.m. MST to kick off a two-week home stand. The inaugural Pac-12 Softball Tournament will be held at Hillenbrand Stadium May 10-13.
