Additional Details on 2024 Red-Blue Showcase presented by First Watch

TUCSON, Ariz. - With the 2024 Red-Blue Showcase presented by First Watch rapidly approaching, here is a look at some of the festivities that will be taking place before, during and after the event on Oct. 4.  
 
Arizona Athletics is proud to welcome back for a second year, the cast of the Road Trippin' Podcast – former Wildcats Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye alongside co-host Allie Clifton. Adding to the ambiance of the evening will be famous DJ Mix Master Mike from the Beastie Boys.

The doors to the McKale Center open at 4:30 p.m. and then at 5:20 p.m. the annual Adaptive Athletics wheelchair basketball scrimmage will take place on the court. This year is a special one for Adaptive Athletics, as they are celebrating their 50th year at the University of Arizona. In that span, the program has produced 51 Paralympians, including three medal winners this summer in Paris. 
 
Throughout the evening, there will be various opportunities for fans to win gift cards from Poizon through different interactive contests. Poizon is the curated marketplace to discover, cop, and share authenticated premium goods like sneakers, apparel, watches and much more. 
 
Just prior to 6:00 p.m., the Pride of Arizona Pep Band and the Arizona Pomline and Cheer teams will set the scene for the official introduction of the 2024-25 Arizona men's basketball team.    
 
New University of Arizona president Dr. Suresh Garimella will be introduced to the crowd ahead of the Taco Bell 3-point contest and McDonald's slam dunk contest.  
 
To wrap-up the evening in McKale, fans will get their first look at the team in action during the National Bank of Arizona Scrimmage. Players for the Red team and the Blue team will be announced on Friday.  
 
When the event ends in McKale, the fun will continue at Gentle Ben's for the Post Move Red-Blue After Party hosted by another former Wildcat and host of "Gil's Arena", Gilbert Arenas. Fans who purchase a ticket will be able to interact and take photos with current and former Arizona basketball players, participate in a silent auction while world famous DJ's like Z-Trip, Mix Master Mike and Trackstar the DJ handle the music.
