- The Arizona Wildcats trek to the Pacific Northwest for a three-game series against the Oregon Ducks this weekend. All three games will be available to watch via free live stream.
- Arizona and Oregon have met 54 times previously, with games dating back to 1954. The Wildcats hold a slight 28-25-1 edge in the all-time series.
- In their last meeting, the Ducks came away with a 5-4 victory in the 2023 Pac-12 Baseball Tournament championship game. Oregon also swept the three-game series in Tucson in 2023.
- Arizona last won a series in Eugene in 2018, taking game one 10-2, falling in game two 1-2, and winning the rubber match 11-4.
- Shortstop Mason White currently leads the team and ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with seven home runs. His seven long balls are also tied for fourth most in a single season by an Arizona shortstop during the StatCrew era (1998-current).
- White also ranks among the Pac-12 leaders with 27 RBI, tied for the second most on the circuit. His 10 multi-RBI performances this year are four more than the next closest Wildcat.

STREAKONOMICS: No Wildcat has an active hit streak of five games or more. The longest hit streak this season belongs to true freshman outfielder
Easton Breyfogle, who hit safely in each of his first seven career collegiate games. Outfielder
Brendan Summerhill holds the longest active on-base streak on the team, having reached base safely in each of his last 13 games played. Over that 13-game stretch, Summerhill has posted a .328 on-base percentage; he has nearly as many walks (9) as hits (11) during the streak. Summerhill's 13-game streak matches the longest on the team this year, set by Breyfogle who reached base safely in each of the first 13 games of his collegiate career.
SHORTSTOP SLUGGERS: Sophomore infielder
Mason White, the Wildcats everyday shortstop this season, currently leads the team and the Pac-12 with seven home runs through the first 15 games of the season. Dating back through the 1998 season (StatCrew era), only three Arizona shortstops have hit more home runs in a single season. White is just two home runs shy of tying Jason Donald's nine dingers in the 2004 season.
NOTHING BUT NETZ: Fifth-year senior
Dawson Netz has established himself as one of the most experienced pitchers in Arizona Baseball history. Going into this weekend, Netz has logged 78 appearances in his collegiate career — 14 starts and 64 relief — the seventh most games pitched in Wildcat history. He is just three appearances shy of moving into a tie for sixth place with Ben White (1993-96), the father of Dawson's current teammate,
Mason White. If he were to match his team-leading 32 appearances from last season, he would move into sole possession of first place with 106 games pitched.
EXTRA EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT: Arizona has consistently taken advantage of the large dimensions at Hi Corbett Field since moving there in 2012 — in the decade-plus since the move off campus, the Wildcats hold the Pac-12 lead with 2,223 extra-base hits (second: Stanford, 2,114). During that stretch Arizona has paced the conference in doubles seven times and triples seven times.
STATE 48: The Wildcats 2024 roster features 14 players hailing from the state of Arizona. Other states represented on Arizona's roster include California (11), Illinois (6), Texas (2), Minnesota (2), New York (1), Colorado (1), New Mexico (1), and Florida (1). The Wildcats 14 Arizonans represent nearly 36% of the roster. Among the 14 Arizona natives on the roster, five current Wildcats also played their high school baseball in or near Tucson:
Andrew Cain (Ironwood Ridge HS),
Mason White (Salpointe Catholic HS),
Jaeden Swanberg (Salpointe Catholic HS),
Alessandro Castro (Pusch Ridge Christian HS), and
Caid Bergthold (Catalina Foothills HS).
ROAD FROM THE SHOW: Arizona Baseball, a program that proudly boasts 280 Major League Baseball Draft selections and 94 alumni MLB players, also currently has five players on the roster with MLB ties in their bloodlines. Between those five players, the Wildcats relatives have logged 44 years and 1,357 games worth of Major League service time.
RUNNING WILD: The Wildcats currently rank fourth in the Pac-12 with 140 runs scored in 19 games, an average scoring output of 7.4 runs per game. Arizona has out-scored their opponents 140-101 this season, but nowhere is this trend more distinct than in the second through fourth innings. Across those three frames, the Wildcats have scored 74 runs (52.9% of their total runs) while allowing opponents to score just 22 runs (21.8% of their runs allowed).
CHASING MILESTONES: Arizona Baseball is just three wins shy of registering 3,000 all-time victories. The Wildcats would join the ranks of just nine other programs to boast 3,000 program wins. As it currently stands, Arizona is the 10th all-time winningest program in the history of college baseball. Four of the winningest programs in college baseball history are current members of the Pac-12 Conference.
NO FREE RIDES: Arizona's pitching staff has excelled this season at limiting walks, currently ranking dead last in the Pac-12 with 54 walks allowed (10 fewer than second place Washington) while their rate of 2.96 walks per nine innings pitched is the fourth best mark across all of Division I.
