SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The No. 17 Arizona Wildcats (31-18, 18-8) rode three home runs and a quality start from
Clark Candiotti to an 8-4 series-leveling victory over the Utah Utes (31-17, 16-10) on Saturday morning.
Shortstop
Mason White blasted two home runs and drove in three runs, while first baseman
Andrew Cain contributed a two-run homer of his own to help lead the Arizona offense. Designated hitter
Maddox Mihalakis and catcher
Blake McDonald also provided major contributions, with the pair combining to go 6-for-8 at the plate with three runs scored and two RBI.
Candiotti, with the Wildcats one-game lead in the Pac-12 title race on the line, delivered a gem. The right-hander worked 7.0 innings and allowed just three runs while striking out seven to earn his sixth win of the season.
Right-handers
