Wildcats Cap Successful Season at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - University of Arizona Track and Field finished the season at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon Friday.

The men's 4x100 relay team was disqualified for being out of its zone to conclude a historical season that was capped on Wednesday with a new program-best 38.75 to qualify for today's final.

In today's triple jump finals, Sir Jonathan Sims finished 23rd with a leap of 14.97m (49-1½). 

Highlighting the week overall was the Second-Team All-American performance by Yan Vazquez in the 400m hurdles on Wednesday. 

Overall Results 
Yan Vazquez: 400m hurdles - personal best (50.42) to finish 14th - Second Team All-American
Sir Jonathan Sims: Long jump - 20th (7.36m) | Triple jump - 23rd (14.87m) 
4x100m relay - Set a program record (38.75) in the semifinals | DQ in the finals.
Trayvion White-Austin: 100m - 22nd (10.42) | 200m - 18th (20.59) 

Arizona concludes the regular season with an NCAA Championships appearance for the seventh time in the last eight years.
