Tucson, ARIZ. - The Arizona Women's Triathlon is set to open the 2024 Fall season on the road this Saturday, August 31st. The Wildcats kick off their year at the Southern Hills Collegiate Cup in Hot Springs, S.D. This will mark the second competitive season for the Cats after the addition of Triathlon as the 22nd sport for Arizona.
The Cats begin the year securing the No.2 spot on the Coaches Preseason Triathlon Poll, after a fifth place finish at nationals last year. The team was led by, top-20 finishers, Laura Holánsky, Lydia Russell, and Dana Prikrylová.

This weekend will highlight Kelly Wetteland, Laura Holánszky, Jasmine Caley, Gabrielle Lemes, Anika Visser, and Sofia De Rosas as they represent Arizona at the meet. The Cats will be competing against
Colorado Mesa University, Black Hills State University, University of South Dakota, Texas Christian University, and University of Denver. There will be a total of 52 athletes competing in the event.

Saturday's meet will be the first of four competitions Arizona will be participating in for the programs season. The Wildcats continue their season hosting their own competition, the Red-Blue IntraSquad. This home event will take place Saturday, Sept. 14th. The Wildcats will begin their race at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.
