TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Gymnastics' Emily Mueller was named the Big 12 Gymnast of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday. Mueller is Arizona's first gymnast to win the Big 12 gymnast of the week award and is the program's first conference gymnast of the week since Aubree Cristello in 2012. 

Mueller earned Big 12 gymnast of the week after helping Arizona win a dual meet against Arizona State with a seaon high team score of 196.650. The senior from Cary, North Carolina placed first in the all-around with a career high score of 39.425. Mueller placed first on beam after earning a career high score of 9.950 and second on floor with a season high of 9.875. 

In addition, Mueller was the lead-off on vault and bars where she set a season high score on vault of 9.775 and tied her season high score on bars with a 9.825. She helped Arizona reach season high event scores on bars, vault, and beam. 

Mueller and the GymCats will host Denver on Friday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m. MST in McKale Center for their fifth meet of the season.
